My Journey as a Freelance Digital Marketer in Kannur

There was a time when my entire world fit inside four walls — my home in a quiet part of Kannur. The days were filled with giggles, toys underfoot, cups of tea left untouched, and the beautiful chaos of raising three little ones.

I was a full-time mom. My hands were full, my heart fuller — but somewhere between nursery rhymes and dinner routines, I forgot something.

I forgot myself.

Remembering the Girl I Was

Before all this, I was a girl with dreams. I studied Information Science Engineering, and back then, the world felt open. I imagined a future in tech, maybe something creative, maybe even something bold.

But life had other plans. Marriage came, then motherhood, and my dreams slowly faded into the background — not out of regret, but out of love.

Still, the question stayed: Could I still become something more, after all this time?

That tiny question quietly followed me around — until one night, I stopped ignoring it.

Starting Over From Scratch

I didn’t have a fancy office or high-end tools. I had an old laptop, slow Wi-Fi, and kids who needed me every few minutes. So I worked late, often after everyone had gone to bed. I watched free tutorials. I scribbled notes. I failed. I tried again.

Later, I joined CDA Academy, and that’s where things began to shift. I discovered what digital marketing really is — not just ads and hashtags, but stories, strategy, and showing up with purpose.

And little by little, I found my own rhythm again.

My First Real Break

One of my first clients was a lovely woman who ran a small boutique nearby. She had no online presence at all. Just beautiful products and a dream that felt too far away.

I helped her create her first Instagram page. I designed a few simple posts. Nothing fancy. But when her first online customer messaged her, she called me — crying, overwhelmed, joyful. That call? I’ll never forget it.

That was the moment I realized: this is what I want to do.

The Work I Do Today

Now, I work as a freelance digital marketing specialist in Kannur, helping small businesses grow with honesty and intention.

I work with women like me — homemakers turned dreamers, boutique owners, bakers, local cafés — anyone with a story waiting to be seen.

Not every day is smooth. Some days are quiet. Some projects take time. But this work gave me something precious — it gave me me again.
